The audio tracks and image sets are designed to be used together. However, there are situations where they can be used separately. The audio track should only be used on its own if it has been specially prepared for this purpose, so that it does not refer to the images. (e.g. - there is a version of the Good News script designed to be used with or without the images. It is indicated by a ^ symbol (GN^) on the audio presentation).

The record sets can be used with the audio track or by a 'storyteller/preacher'. They can be used by a 'teacher' with a group or by an individual. At the most basic level, a user of the materials (evangelist) only needs to know how to operate the playback device and rotate the images at the right time. Ideally, however, the evangelist should also be able to interact with the audience by engaging in conversation, asking questions or providing further explanations or telling more stories. Therefore, the evangelist should become very familiar with the script and understand the message of each image. It would be helpful for the evangelist to practise several times before taking the materials 'into the field'.
