This scoop is a co-production of City Bibles (www.citybibles.com) with Faith Comes By Hearing (www.faithcomesbyhearing.com) YouVersion (www.youversion.com) The Bible Project (www.thebibleproject.com) and various producers of children's videos.
The Interactive Bible consists of a digital Old and New Testament plus a printed New Testament. Each Bible book of the two interactive Testaments has one page with a QR code. By scanning this code with a smartphone or tablet via the free City Bibles app, the Bible book appears on the smartphone or tablet in the desired language.
At the top of the page of every Bible book there also is a QR code with an overview of the relevant Bible book. By scanning this QR code you can watch a short and concise video overview of the Bible book with the help of a lightning artist. This makes it clear what the book is about immediately.
At the bottom of the page there are QR-codes for videos for children. In the back of the Bible there are QR-codes for videos about God, the Bible, the creation and more topics. ‘The interactive Gospel of John’ is also included with short videos from the movie ‘Gospel of John’.
The Interactive Bible is available in 4 trendy colours and can be ordered with your own personal cover.
At the time of the launch, the printed Interactive Bible is available in 7 languages. The intention is to release the interactive version in at least 50 languages. Because it is an evangelistic tool, the Interactive Bible is provided for free. However, because of design and processing costs, the copies are € 2,95.
