The Bible tells us that we should live up to our own expectations and not the expectations of others. We are to set our sights high and strive to reach our full potential. Our personal best is what God expects from us, not the mediocrity that others may accept. (Proverbs 16:3, Philippians 3:14)
Matthew 10:29-31 says, “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
God doesn’t want us to settle for less than we are capable of. He wants us to reach our full potential and to live up to our own expectations. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58 says, “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
God gives us the strength to overcome all obstacles and to reach our goals. We are to stand firm and never give up. We should always give our best effort, knowing that our hard work is not in vain.
Romans 12:11-12 says, “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
We are to keep our passion for Christ alive and never lose our zeal for serving him. We are to be joyful, hopeful and patient, even in difficult times. And we are to be faithful in prayer, always seeking God’s will for our lives.
