The Bible has a lot to say about being insulted. In Proverbs, it says that “it is better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife” (18:19). In Matthew, Jesus says that we should “turn the other cheek” when we are insulted (5:39). And in 1 Corinthians, Paul says that “if anyone is offended” by what we say, “we are not responsible” (6:12). So, the Bible seems to teach that we shouldn’t worry too much about being insulted.

Matthew 6:14-15 says “if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” So, it seems that the Bible is pretty clear that we should forgive those who insult us.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Hebrews 13:18 says “pray for us, for our conscience is clear and we want to live honorably in every way.” So, even when we are being insulted, we should pray for the person who is doing the insulting.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
