The Bible teaches that believers should be wise in how they interact with the world, and not be manipulated by it. Specifically, believers are to be on their guard against those who would seek to take advantage of them or deceive them. The Bible warns against being “taken captive by philosophy and empty deceit” (Colossians 2:8) and urges believers to be “wise as serpents and innocent as doves” (Matthew 10:16).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
